Giants are colossal humanoids with a strong but mysterious connection to the very bedrock of the world. Some scholars believe that they are related to dwarves; others maintain that they are remnants of a great civilization that long ago rose against the dragons. Giants are mainly found in mountainous areas, where they live alone or in small families. They are normally quite shy and reclusive, but some are highly territorial and will attack anyone who comes too close to their caves.
